Paint the Town Pink!

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and this year marks it's 25th anniversary. Not only does this mean that companies and individuals will be doing their part to further research for a cure, but it means pink, pink and more pink! Here are a few new pink ribbon products that you can purchase throughout this month to help do your part in supporting research initiatives.
1: Clinique

This is one of Clinique's most basic products. It's a lightweight moisturizer for all skin types that helps to maintain the skin's perfect moisture balance, so anyone can use it. When you purchase this limited edition bottle, you get a pink ribbon key ring and the Breast Cancer Research Foundation gets $10!

2: Panera

This is such a creative way to show support for breast cancer awareness and research. Throughout the month of October, go to Panera Bread Co. for this delicious Pink Ribbon Bagel. It's made with cherry chips, dried cherries and cranberries, vanilla, honey and brown sugar. And, a portion of proceeds go to selected breast cancer charities.

3: OPI

Is there any girl out there who couldn't use a new nail polish every once in a while? This month, make it OPI's Pink of Hearts and a portion of your purchase will go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure.

4: NFL

The NFL and Breast Cancer Awareness are just about as opposite as it gets, but the two forces have teamed up over the past few years with the Crucial Catch Campaign. I love watching NFL games and seeing flashes of pink cleats and gloves! Not only do the athletes incorporate pink into their game day ensembles, but the NFL auctions off the pieces worn by your favorite players and has a whole line of pink consumer products for your favorite team. Be watching tonight on Monday Night Football for players in pink!

5: Simply Vera

I thought that these products were just too cute! Simply Vera by world renowned fashion designer Vera Wang has been a fantastic secondary line for Kohl's department stores. This year, she designed pink products and 100% of net profits go to breast cancer research.

6: Kitchenaid

Kitchenaid has been marketing their Cook for a Cure products for several years now. Even though their classic stand up mixer is a pretty substantial investment, their spatulas, silicon baking dishes and measuring cups are small little pieces that can help make a big difference.

7: Estee Lauder

Actress Elizabeth Hurley has teamed up with Estee Lauder to create a line of punchy pink lipsticks, glosses and compacts. Proceeds from the sales of these products go to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

8: Betsey

Betsey Johnson is not only an incredible fashion designer known for her wild imagination and unique designs, she is also a breast cancer survivor. Each year, she designs new products and donates to The National Breast Cancer Coalition Fund and Weill Cornell Breast Center of the Iris Cantor Women's Health Center at New York-Presbyterian Hospital, where she herself was treated. Wouldn't this gorgeous bracelet make a great gift for someone you know who is a survivor or is fighting breast cancer right now?
9: DKNY

Be Delicious is one of DKNY's most popular scents. This month, purchase it in the Fresh Blossom version and help donate $15,000 to the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.

10: RLP

This year marks Polo Ralph Lauren Pink Pony's 10 year anniversary. Who doesn't love the classic iconic pieces with pink logos? They are so cute, and it doesn't have to be breast cancer awareness month to wear them! 100% of proceeds go to the Pink Pony Fund of the Polo Ralph Lauren Foundation.

It was impossible to feature every product this month that is joining forces to find a cure, but be sure to look for products that boast the pink ribbon seal and make sure you read the box to make sure the proceeds are going to a legitimate research foundation. Later this month, we will be featuring a very special pink shoe and more about Betsey Johnson and her fight with breast cancer. Go get screened today!
