The Color of Christmas

Christmastime is here! That mean's parties, galas, charity events, girl's night outs, family get togethers and lots of fabulous dresses and gorgeous shoes! This year, I challenge you to put away the traditional red and black and draw some inspiration from the true color of Christmas when choosing your attire! Christmas has never been just red and green. Think of the golden star, sugar plums, and glittering white snow. Here is your guide to dressing for all your events in color!
Sugar Plum Clothes

I absolutely love dark, rich purple at Christmastime! It is so beautiful with the golds and silvers and greens! This gray satin pump from Naughty Monkey is such a great neutral shoe that looks incredible with more formal attire.

Golden Star Dresses

Golden Accessories

This yellow is usually more for spring or summer, so you will surely turn heads if you show up in this cheery tone! Think of all the golden stars at Christmas from the Star of David to tree toppers! It's everywhere! I also love going the non-traditional route and pairing it with this gorgeous pewter metallic instead of yellow gold.
Santa's Cookies

This color reminds me of sugar cookies set out for Santa. You cannot get more classy and stylish than nude! You can wear it year round, and it is such a great alternative to black. I am in love with this sheer ruffled bootie from Chinese Laundry!
Tiffany's Dresses

Tiffany's Accessories

Isn't it every girl's dream to unwrap a Tiffany's box on Christmas morning? This color is not only for Tiffany's Blue Box, but it reminds me of snowflakes and cold weather. If your Tiffany dreams are not likely to come true, treat yourself to a pair of these dazzling pumps from Poetic Licence, and put some blue into your Christmas.
Evergreen Dresses

I love this color, and I feel that it is so often overlooked. I also love the scent of evergreen. It always makes it feel like Christmas. These peep-toe velvet booties from Poetic Licence are sure to put you in the festive spirit!
Glittering Snow Dresses

Glittering Snow

In Little Rock, we usually only dream of a white Christmas, but that doesn't mean you can't be inspired by fields of glistening white! I love the simplicity of white with silver sequins. It's so beautiful! These pumps from Betsey Johnson are so versatile with gold and silver strips.
Chocolate Dresses

Chocolate Accessories

Christmas isn't Christmas without candy galore, and chocolate truffles are my absolute favorite. Even though it doesn't necessarily have to be Christmas to enjoy the decadence of a chocolate truffle, this woodsy color really puts me in the spirit. I think of wooden sleighs and hot cocoa. Pair your chocolate with "Dance All Night" heels from Poetic Licence.
Neutrals

Color is a beautiful thing, but when in doubt, opt for one of these neutrals. These shoes are all equally as beautiful and will match just about anything! Even if you don't need them for an upcoming holiday event, you should invest in them if your wardrobe is lacking. You will wear them out before you know it!

That is all for our colorful Christmas special! I hope you are inspired to try a new hue this season, and if you are inspired, then my work is done here. Happy Christmas party-going! You're going to be fabulous!
